Round 38 Auto-Commentary

Nigel Richards (NZL) remains in the lead for the 32nd consecutive round, 34-4 +3775, on a 9-game winning streak. David Eldar (AUS) is 6.5 games behind at 27.5-10.5 +1335, #2 rising from #3. Rex Ogbakpa (NGA) is 7.5 games behind the leader at 26.5-11.5 +2211, #3 dropping from #2.

In Class B: Gerald Davids (ZAF) is the lead, 20-18 +360. Andrew Goldberg (ZAF) is 0.5 games behind at 19.5-18.5 +417, #28 rising from #29. Duncan Keet (ZAF) is 2.5 games behind the leader at 17.5-20.5 +108, #32 climbing from #33.

High Win: Piotr Andronowski (Sco) 611-335 vs. Jackie Nortier (ZAF). Low Win: Moses Kibet (ZAF) 341-336 vs. Mwenya Munkonge (ZMB). High Loss: Dave Wiegand (USA) 448-456 vs. Komol Panyasophonlert (THA). Low Loss: Kay Faust (USA) 229-498 vs. Sulaiman Gora Garba (NGA).

At Board 2 (Nigel Richards (NZL) is Gibsonized at Board 1): David Eldar (AUS) vs. Rex Ogbakpa (NGA). David makes a couple of nice bingoes: PeTALOD-Y (92) and INTERWE-B (76+5); Rex uses the other blank to make VaNITAS (68), but struggles to find the right way to balance the rest of his racks. David, with very low spread, gets a much needed win.
