This round's featured game, between Dave Wiegand (USA) and Gwen Rea (ZAF) started very slowly, with Dave taking six turns to score his first hundred points, trailing badly until Gwen lost tempo with a challenged phoney bingo. Dave then played GOX for 33, keeping INU? to fish the second blank for TUTaNIa (65) on his next play, and was in control of the game from then.

Time for a brief tea break.
