Round 7 Auto-Commentary

High Win: Theresa Brousson (MLT) 627-326 vs. Mario Seychell (MLT). Low Win: Mbeleokpo Mathew Aganaba (NGA) 407-388 vs. Ebikeme Adowei (NGA). High Loss: Nicky Vella-Laurenti (MLT) 476-496 vs. Mihai Pantis (ROM). Low Loss: Alfred Xuereb (MLT) 216-485 vs. John Barker (AUS).

Okey Okoro (NGA) did not show up for his game with Brid Ni Bhriain (IRL) in the first round of play this morning. Brid has provisionally been assigned a 379-point forfeit win, that being the narrowest margin of any of Okey's losses so far. His countrymen subsequently reported that he had gone to the airport to straighten out a transport issue. We do not know if or when he will be back, and are undecided as to whether or not he should be readmitted to the tournament should he return.

The two Americans played each other this round, with Daniel Milton (USA) beating Chris Lipe (USA) 418-355. The two Nigerians present played each other; Mbeleokpo Mathew Aganaba (NGA) won 407-388 against Ebikeme Adowei (NGA).

Words challenged rom the back of the John Barker (AUS) vs. Alfred Xuereb (MLT) scoreslip: CHUB DANKS DOLOURS NITTERS. Which one is the phoney?

Nicky Vella-Laurenti (MLT) had a 476-496 loss to Mihai Pantis (ROM), which is now the second-highest loss of the event, after Mihai's 478-571 loss to Theresa in Round 3. The players have kindly provided their racks; the game is posted on our website.
