We play the last four games of the event without a break, and to begin, it's Howard Warner (NZL) vs. Theresa Brousson (MLT) streamed live.

Game highlights:

  • They're off to a quick start, exchanging bingoes rENOVATE, OSSARIUM after Warner's opening FADGE.
  • Warner follows that up with SCURFIER (89), Brousson replies non-bingo C-ONTEXT (64). Warner up 212-181.
  • After three turns each of awkward racks, they're still close at 299-270. Then Warner bingoes ANTERIOR, after considering ADROITER instead for a few minutes. Brousson replies JELLO (30) and trails 369-300 and the odds are 10:1 in Warner's favour.
  • Warner makes a small strategic miscalculation, sacrificing 18 points to block a bingo lane and turn over more tiles with HERNIA; it does not block Brousson's bingo, bROWNIES (72), which brings her to within 15 points of Warner, 417-402. Warner has ABDEIVY, Brousson DEELRUW and there's an E in the bag.

First result in: Chris Lipe (USA) 520 vs. Cecil Muscat (MLT) 325.

Helen Gipson (Sco) stays in the running with a 529-347 win over Simon Gillam (Sco).

Marion Loewenstein (ISR) wins her first game, 352-346 against Albert Zammit (MLT), bingoing twice with NOXIOUS HOTTIES, drawing a challenge for NOXIOUS.

With three rounds left to go, the top three have clinched the top prize money, having a four-game lead over Chris Lipe (USA). They will all play each other until their final rankings are determined.
