Open Division

I am both streaming video for Board 1 this round, and posting a playable game. Helen Gipson (Sco) has a one-game lead over her opponent Theresa Brousson (MLT) and others; she could conceivably lose one game and still finish second. The others have to win both of their games to have a hope of doing so.

After five turns apiece, they each have two bingoes on the board, and Helen leads 326-289 over Theresa.

In the end, Theresa manages to eke out a tie in what should have been an unwinnable position, but it's not enough to keep her in contention for second place.

Allan Simmons (Sco) will take first, then the winner of next round's match between Helen Gipson (Sco) and Simon Gillam (Sco) will place second

Second Division

Daniel Milton (USA) beats Gila Blits (ISR) and Sammy Mangion (MLT) beats Josephine Mayo (MLT), so it's a Milton vs. Mangion grudge match for second place. If it's a blowout, third place could go to one of the next group of players a game back, including Janet Bonham (Eng), Nicky Huitson (Eng), Moira Fenech (MLT), Mayo and Blits.
