Open Division

Naomi Landau (ISR), initially reluctant to appear at the video streamed board against Allan Simmons (Sco), gets down AZOTISES triple-tripled for a 540-435 win.

Simmons' lead is down to only three games, with five rounds to go. Helen Gipson (Sco) has her fourth consecutive win, against Vincent Boyle (Sco) 510-431, and remains in second place trailing by three games, 13-6 +1025.

Keiichiro Hirai (JPN) has his second 500+ game, a 557-306 win over Louise Love (AUS).

Rafal Dominiczak (POL) now shares with Cecil Muscat (MLT) the dubious distinction of having lost two games by one point each, after a 377-378 loss to Teresa Lyes (Eng).

Second Division

Kevin Synnott (Eng) beats John Barker (AUS) 547-232; the 315-point spread is only the second highest of the event so far.

Marion Loewenstein (ISR) has her second win of the event, 296-262 over Gail Morris (ISR).

Mario Seychell (MLT) and Josephine Mayo (MLT) both win their games. Going into the morning tea break, Seychell is 16-3 +796, Mayo 13-6 +285, and on 12-7 are Daniel Milton (USA), Sammy Mangion (MLT) and Janet Bonham (Eng).
