As usual, there were quite a few blowout games in the first round. In the Open Division, Bob Violett (Eng) leads with +295, a1] +237, Allan Simmons (Sco) +220 and Howard Warner (NZL) +217.

The high spread in the Second Division was Paul Mifsud (MLT) +251.
