Michael McKenna (Wysc) reports that he tripled PREBINDS only to have his opponent double-double back through it PREBOUND! (I realize now that it wasn't Michael, but someone whose voice sounds like Michael's, as Michael has just turned in his scoreslip.)

Ming Hui Hubert Wee (SGP) opened his game against Matthew Tunnicliffe (CAN) by bingoing consecutively GAUMIER IODATION BARNAcLE ROUTEMEN and UnBASED, then rode out his lead to win 691-365.

Robert Springer (FRA), playing in the open division, dropped by to give his impressions of our side events. "We would call Clabbers 'delirious Scrabble' in French, and I've never seen anything like it."
